Senior Analytics Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who is passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights to empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in data modelling, data warehousing, and BI, coupled with a deep curiosity for understanding the drivers behind business metrics.
This position is available immediately in full-time (40hrs./week) within Germany or UK remotely or at one of our office locations.
YOUR ROLE

Data Modelling and Transformation: Design, build, and optimize data models to support reporting, analysis, and visualization. Utilize dbt to ensure efficient and reliable transformation of raw data into clean, tested, well-documented, organized models that serve as the foundation for BI and analytics.

Collaboration with Engineering and Analytics Teams: Partner closely with data engineers, software engineers, data analysts, and product teams to understand business requirements, ensuring that data models and transformations meet analytic and operational needs.

Data Quality and Validation: Establish rigorous data quality standards, conducting testing and validation to ensure data integrity across reporting and analytics systems. Work with source systems to enhance upstream data quality.

KPI and Metric Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define, track, and refine business KPIs and metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Support leadership and operational teams with consistent, high-quality insights.

Data Reporting: Work with data analysts who build dashboards and reports in PowerBI, and collaborate on creating a single, well-structured semantic layer for reporting and self-serve analytics.

Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models and transformation processes. Provide training to ensure knowledge transfer within the team and to help stakeholders utilize data effectively.

3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI engineering within a data-centric environment.

Excellent SQL Skills

Deep knowledge of dbt

Strong understanding of concepts around data warehousing and data modelling

Good knowledge of cloud-based MPP data warehousing (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
