Senior (PHP) Engineer (m/f/d)

This position is available immediately in full-time (40hrs./week) at our locations or remotely within Germany or UK.

• PHP, Vue.js 3, Tailwind CSS, Vite, Kafka, AWS, Docker, DataDog, GitLab, DDD

• Build and shape a new end-to-end service focused on student contract lifecycle management—from contract creation through lifecycle events like recognition of prior learning, leave semesters, etc., to data transfer into Workday.
• Develop our high-performance event driven distributed system using microservices and microfrontends.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers, product managers, UX, QA, DevOps …
• Monitor and troubleshoot the system, utilizing various tools and metrics to ensure high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation, best practices and standards.

• You have expert knowledge in PHP.
• You are familiar with event driven architecture and already gained experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka or message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• You have working experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and you are familiar with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• You have a solid knowledge about web technologies and have a profound understanding of website performance, accessibility, semantics and code quality.
• You have sound experience in component development using modern web frameworks such as Vue, Svelte, SolidJS or React.
• You are enthusiastic about technical concepts and software architecture.
• You are a team player with good communication skills.
• You are characterized by an independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working.
