Chief of Staff Education Platform (m/f/d)

Join our Academic team in full-time (40 hrs./week) as Chief of Staff to the COO Education Platform (m/f/d) at one of our locations in Germany or remote (germanwide).

As the Chief of Staff of our Education Platform, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, supporting senior leadership, and ensuring operational excellence. Reporting directly to the COO of our Education Platform, you will be at the heart of our organizational strategy, leading cross-functional projects, and contributing to the company’s growth and success.

• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with C-level executives and senior management to define and execute strategic initiatives that drive the company’s growth and enhance the educational experience of our students.

• Project Management: Lead and manage cross-departmental projects to implement new growth initiatives; coordinating between our various platform teams that shape our study experience: Study Program Management, Learning and Teacher Experience, Lecturer Staffing and Recruiting, Media Production, and our AI learning buddy Syntea.

• Innovation and Development: Drive the development of innovative features for our education platform and support strategic projects such as M&A transactions and platform scalability.

• Operational Efficiency: Continuously optimize internal processes to improve efficiency and profitability. Take interim ownership of strategically important projects when needed.

• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as the go-to person for collaboration across departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination to achieve project goals.

• OKR, KPI and Board Management: Organize and manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), our Top KPIs, board meetings, and other strategic discussions.

• Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced and demanding environment, such as management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or rapidly growing startups.

• Educational Background: Outstanding degree from a top university, with a PhD, experience in the higher education sector or in a scale-up being a plus.

• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to quickly understand complex relationships and identify optimization opportunities.

• Business Acumen: Strong business sense with a growth mindset and the ability to drive strategic initiatives effectively.

• Communication Skills: Highly communicative, with a passion for working with diverse teams to achieve great results.

• Technical Proficiency: Excellent MS Office skills and the ability to manage large projects using digital tools.

• Agile Mindset: Preference for working in agile environments, valuing speed and efficient processes.

• Language skills: You speak German and English fluently
