DevOps Lead – SalesTech (m/f/d)
Join us on the mission of democratising education and playing a key role in advancing the education journey for more than 2¹⁷ learners around the globe.
This position is available as a full-time role at our IU office locations or remotely (must reside in Germany or the UK).
We are looking for a proactive DevOps Lead to drive the adoption of the DevOps principles in the SalesTech function (Salesforce, Twilio and related MicroServices), focusing on infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Define and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy for our SalesTech platforms and roadmap aligned with the IU’s technology goals, fostering a self-sufficient, multi-disciplinary “you build it, you own it” approach.

Support and mentor the SalesTech engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture, while tracking KPI’s and driving continuous improvement to address operational issues and performance challenges.

Collaborate with engineering managers and stakeholders to identify and implement automation, process improvements, and efficiency gains within the development and deployment pipeline, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

Establish and maintain best practices for CI/CD, build and maintain robust infrastructure platforms, and integrate DevOps practices into Agile development processes for rapid, reliable software releases.

Collaborate with IT and InfoSec teams to ensure infrastructure resources are secure, scalable, and efficient, incorporating security best practices and managing cloud-based environments.

Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably in the Salesforce space, demonstrating strong knowledge and skills in a dynamic environment.

Proven track record of implementing and managing CI/CD processes and automation tools, ensuring reliable deployments aligned with DevOps practices and tools, including configuration management, containerization, and orchestration.

Strong understanding of infrastructure management, cloud computing, CRM (Salesforce), and related architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-availability platforms and Services.

Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, tools, and the software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies for rapid and reliable software releases.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, enabling the identification and resolution of operational issues, bottlenecks, and performance challenges, while driving continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, fostering a results-oriented mindset focused on delivering efficient and reliable software deployments.

Able to provide effective L1 Support for our DevOps function.
