Join our remote Psychology Department in full-time (40 hrs./week) as a Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) with the option to work at one of our locations in Germany . With an eye for detail, a knack for multi-tasking, and a passion for maintaining consistent quality in both English and German, you will regularly monitor the learning materials produced by our department and implement revisions where necessary to ensure our courses are always up-to-date and of the highest standards.  

Tasks

  • Identification, coordination, and management of revisions for course materials produced by our department (including course books, exam question catalogues, slides, and other materials).

  • Management of all correction requests from students enrolled on our department’s courses.

  • Implementation of a range of corrections, ranging from small spelling corrections to editing complete course revisions.

  • Supervision and guidance of internal and external authors/professors through the course revision process whilst coordinating and communicating with the necessary departments.

  • Use of different programmes to edit courses and ensure they are ready for publication, as well as to document the process.

  • You have solid communication skills and can respond to requests in a diplomatic, clear, and timely manner.

  • You are open-minded and can adapt to processes that may change at a rapid pace.

  • You have an excellent grasp of the English and German languages.

  • Multi-tasking comes second nature to you.

  • You are not afraid to work independently.

Am I a permanent employee or freelancer in IU Academia?
Our Professors are permanently employed and our Lecturers, Tutors, and Authors are all Freelancers.
Is there a teacher forum for discussion & exchange?
Absolutely! At every location we have a regular faculty conference. We also encourage dialogue via our collaboration tools and all our module leaders are available for questions at any time.
What is the application process for a lecturer assignment?
Once we review your application you will receive a further questionnaire by e-mail to be completed and returned.  We will promptly send you relevant information by e-mail about teaching at IU. We will also inform you about the process regarding a trial lecture.
When do lectures take place in dual studies?
Our dual study program includes modules that take place every two weeks and modules that are taught every week on specific days. Normally, our lectures for a module take place in blocks of 4-6 UE (UE = 45 minutes). Planning of the blocks is done in consultation with our lecturers. The weekly teaching hours are: Mon-Fri 8:00-20:00.
