FAQs
Why is working at IU different?
Great question! You can learn everything about what makes us a great place to work on our culture page.
Should I still apply if I don’t match all the job requirements?
That’s a big yes! We can’t get to know you by just ticking boxes. We want to meet you to find out how you can uniquely make IU stronger.
What additional documents should I send with my cv?
In addition to your CV and/or link to your Business Networking Profile, you can include your certificates, references, and a cover letter describing your career ambition and motivation — but this is not a must! Some positions require more specific documents, which are stated in the job advertisements. Getting the conversation going is the most important thing for us.
If a job is advertised as full-time, can I apply for part-time?
Yes please! We are focused on finding the right person for every position and together we will find a way forward.
Can I apply by e-mail?
Due to data protection laws we cannot accept applications by e-mail. But, our job portal is a cinch to use. If you have any questions just contact our recruiting team at recruiting@iu.org and state the job reference number.

How will I know for sure you received my application?
Once you complete your application, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt directly by e-mail. Our recruitment team will contact you promptly.
Will my interview be in person or virtual?
Although we love to interview in person, during the pandemic, we must consider everyone’s health, so all interviews are held virtually—typically via Zoom.
When is the expected start date?
Although we include a starting date in every job advertisement we are very flexible and willing to consider your personal wishes. Let us know in your application what works best for you.
