Data Product Manager (m/f/d)
Data Product Manager (m/f/d)
Join us to make education accessible for all!
Strengthen our Data Platform Team in full-time (40 hrs./week) as Data Product Manager (m/f/d) within Germany or UK remotely or at one of our office locations.
This role focuses on driving the development of internal data products that align business needs with technical capabilities to maximize platform value.
-
Product Ownership for Internal Data Products: Define and manage the roadmap for internal data products (e.g. platform tooling and applications, source-of-truth dashboards, data models, infrastructure). Represent the “voice of the user” — ensuring data tools and outputs are usable, valuable, and discoverable. Prioritise features and data initiatives in close alignment with business goals and tech constraints.
-
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Serve as the primary interface between data platform teams and business units (marketing, finance, sales, etc.). Collate business needs into clear core data product requirements. Run workshops, manage intake requests, and lead quarterly/ongoing comms about platform progress and roadmap.
-
Documentation & Enablement: Own the documentation, release notes, internal wiki, training sessions, and onboarding materials related to the data platform. Ensure people know what data exists, how to use it, and why it matters.
-
Strategy & Governance: Collaborate with leadership to align data product development with company priorities. Help define standards around data accessibility, quality, and stewardship. Drive adoption and consistency in how data is used across the org.
-
Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical complexity into business-relevant language
-
Solid understanding of data platforms, BI tools, dbt, semantic layers, and event tracking
-
Proven experience in product, program, or delivery management within tech or data-driven environments
-
Skilled in prioritization, decision-making, and structuring ambiguity into actionable plans
-
Nice to have: Background in analytics, data engineering, or similar technical roles, and experience leading platform or internal tooling products—not just customer-facing ones
-
